Nebraska Writers Workshop

Primary Objective: To provide Omaha area writers of all genre and form the opportunity to come together for mutual support, artistic growth, and non-credit learning at NO CHARGE.

Secondary Objective: To teach writers of any genre or form how to objectively assess the art and craft of their own work, thus growing in confidence and GETTING PUBLISHED.

Membership

  • Professional and amateur writers seeking skill-knowledge and support of fellow artists.
  • Age 14 and over
  • No fees or copying expense required (Optional: $1/per meeting donation to Baright Library)
  • Commitment to actively write
  • Commitment to actively participate in critique of peer work
  • Willingness to accept and evaluate critique of own work

Program

  • Year-round, weekly meetings, Wednesdays, 6-9:00pm at the Baright Public Library directly east of Ralston City Hall
  • Meeting Format
    • Discussion/Lesson on technical/artistic topic
    • Member readings & group critique
    • Hints/Sharing on the Writing Life/Professionalism
  • Schedule of Topics available at meetings
  • Weather cancellations to coincide with Ralston Public Schools
